My first blog

I was looking at the calendar today and counting the days till we leave for Costa Rica. 3 weeks and 5 days. I've been pondering what kind of communication to use to share our trip with family and friends and decided that it's time to blog. I've always kept daily journals of our Costa Rica trips and emailed them. Well, during our first trip in 1994, email was still a bit too primitive. In fact, that summer I actually kept a longhand journal on a legal pad! But ever since then, I've typed a journal on a laptop. And now we (finally) have a digital camera and our own laptop. Rather than email journals and photos, I'll try the blog route. This will be a first. I hope it's successful.
